The Whitsunday Islands
Ever since Captain James Cook discovered these beautiful isles in the Coral Sea, visitors have fallen in love with the Whitsunday Islands, and it's not hard to see why. They are one of the greatest tourist attractions in Australia, forming an exquisite National Park with opportunities for sailing, swimming, snorkelling, diving and even a trip to the fabulous Great Barrier Reef.
With 74 islands to choose from, there are 100's of inlets, bays and coves, that offer comfortable anchorage. Almost all of the islands are national parks, covered with trees and bush, creating the impression that they have yet to be discovered, offering visitors the hint of adventure.

The Resort Islands
Calling in at one of the resort islands can provide a welcome change of pace during a charter, and the opportunity to go ashore and enjoy a meal in a restaurant and perhaps an evening of entertainment.
Sailing visitors are welcome at most resorts, and booking ahead for use of their marina or mooring facilities is advisable, especially during peak sailing periods (August through to January), just radio charter base and a booking will be arranged for you. Fees apply and information can be found onboard Masquerade to assist in your choice. Prices range from $55.00 per night for the boat to $145.00 depending on the island.
Neat casual dress is required if visiting Hayman Island, but 'Queensland Casual' is the acceptable dress code at most island resorts. Something a little more 'dressier' may be required if you are intending to dine in one of the many restaurants available throughout the Whitsundays.
